I’m Alfred, the founder of Vegan Is Us, and I want to thank you for being here. This brand wasn’t born in a boardroom — it was born from lived experience, deep research, and a genuine desire to make plant-based wellness accessible, inclusive, and real.

For most of my life, I’ve lived with Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) — a little-known condition that makes the textures of many fruits and vegetables extremely difficult to tolerate. Alongside that, I’ve struggled with insomnia, chronic fatigue, and stress that left me feeling disconnected from my health and energy. If you’ve ever felt out of sync with your body, I see you — because I’ve been there.

While studying Economics and Public Policy at the University of Bristol, I discovered something that changed everything: the power of plant-based superfoods.
